The flat can sleep 4 guests with one double bedroom with queen size bed and a second smaller attic bedroom with a futon sofa bed. The bathroom has an electric shower over a full size bath. At the edge of the Pentland Hills in Midlothian, you will be able to take long hikes in the hills from your front door, wander to the local pub or take a bus to Edinburgh. The suite has private access for guests and is closed off from the rest of our house. It has 1 bedroom which accommodates 4 people in a huge, comfortable bed and a high quality sofa-bed. There are basic catering facilities but no kitchen. Barleydean Suite is a ground floor private suite within our house in the country. The house is a converted dairy house, rebuilt to an exceptional standard in , and the suite is located in one of the wings with its own private entrance and parking space.

It takes half an hour to drive into Edinburgh centre where there are hundreds of bars, restaurants, clubs, shops and tourist hotspots. The suite has been recently redecorated in neutral tones to a high standard, with good quality furnishings including a superking-sized bed, king-sized sofa bed, table and chairs, TV, luxury bathroom with bath and double shower, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, kettle and fridge.

There is a separate room where there is a kitchenette and a large wardrobe. This room can hold a couple of cots, if you prefer your children to sleep in a separate room. Please note that there are only limited catering facilities and is not suited to guests who wish to cook elaborate meals! However there are bars and restaurants a short drive away, as well as several food delivery options. We live in a safe, peaceful area, with mainly horses, cows and sheep for neighbours! You may also see deer wandering around the the nearby fields. We are on a private country road, which can make the ride in a little bumpy!

I also rent a double room so can als work for a family. Enjoy the peace and quiet of Penicuik while having easy access to Edinburgh. Bankmill is on a private road with plenty of parking there is a low bridge though. Enjoy the Scottish sun on the balcony, or using the outdoor kitchen.

This a modern, secure and luxurious space situated in a valley community in historic Penicuik, a small town just south of Edinburgh. We are located in the quiet, secluded site of a former paper mill. There are views from the balcony over the wooded river valley and the Penicuik-Dalkeith walkway is almost on the doorstep.

It is a large apartment with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and with a bathtub in the ensuite bathroom. We have a large curved, UHD television in the livingroom with satellite and terrestrial stations, and fast fibre wifi is accessible throughout the apartment. There is also a TV with Netflix, etc in the bedroom. There is free reserved parking outside and secure bicycle storage in the outbuildings. Times for check-in and check-out are as flexible as possible, and earlier arrivals or later departures can often be accomodated. This is a very quiet community where there are many walkers, cyclists and people looking for a countryside retreat while within reach of Edinburgh and Midlothian.

The Shepherd's Cottage is a semi-detached farm cottage on picturesque South Slipperfield Farm, at the foot of the Pentland Hills Regional Park, some 19 miles from the heart of Edinburgh. The cottage is the left hand side one shown in the main photo. The series gave an insight to life on a busy stock farm and Hamish and Susie's dogs Doug and Jess became the stars of the series! The cottage windows have views over South Slipperfield farm to the front and side, with the rear overlooking its parking area.

It offers three bedrooms each sleeping two people , a bathroom with shower over bath, a lounge with woodburning stove, and a dining kitchen. All three bedrooms are furnished simply and offer beds see below , reading lights, bedside cabinets, a chest of drawers, and hanging space with hangers provided. We also provide bed linen, synthetic quilt and pillow , as well as one bath sheet sized towel per person.

The front room is a double room and can sleep up to two adults in its king size double bed. Each of the rear bedrooms can sleep up to two adults. One has a king size double bed and overlooks the fields to the side of the cottage; the other has two single beds and overlooks the rear parking area. We do not provide a travel cot or high chair, however, you are welcome to bring your own. A standard sized travel cot can fit into the larger of the rear bedrooms, however, please be aware that it is a bit of a squeeze!

It is furnished simply but comfortably and seats six persons on leather sofas and a recliner armchair around a coffee table. There is a log burning stove and we provide kindling and a few logs to get you through your first evening additional kindling and logs are available to purchase should you wish more. There are a few board games, books and jigsaws at the cottage that you are welcome to use during your stay.

There is also a television with freeview channels. It has basic cooking utensils, and basic baking trays, pots and pans. There is a fridge freezer, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, and a washing machine. There is a teapot, a cafetiere and sufficient glassware, crockery and cutlery for six persons. We provide a tea tray to welcome you to the cottage, which has a small selection of teabags, a small jar of cafetiere coffee, and a sugar pot; and you will find an accompanying pint of milk chilling in the fridge.

Should you wish to pre-order supermarket groceries for delivery to the cottage, we can but only by prior arrangement arrange to take receipt of them on your behalf on the day of your arrival. The kitchen has a dining table that seats six persons. We provide washing up liquid and tea towels.
